Turn HEIC into JPG

Convert HEIC images to JPG right in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Uploaded to our servers: 0 bytes Try it: load this page, switch off your Wi-Fi, then convert. It still works.

What is a HEIC file?

HEIC is the photo format iPhones save by default. It takes about half the space of a JPG at the same quality, but many websites, Windows programs and photo printers still only accept JPG.

Virvla turns your HEIC photos into regular JPGs, upright and in full resolution. Location and camera details are left out of the new file.

How to use it

  1. Drop your HEIC files on the page, or choose them.
  2. Check that JPG is selected and adjust quality if you want smaller files.
  3. Download each image, or all of them as a ZIP.

Questions

Are my files uploaded?
No. The converter runs inside your browser, so your files stay on your device. You can check: open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab and convert something.
Why do my iPhone photos end in .HEIC?
iPhones use HEIC to save storage. You can switch the camera to “Most Compatible” in Settings › Camera › Formats, but converting afterwards keeps the space savings on your phone.
Is it free?
Yes. Free pages show a small ad that pays for the site. Pro removes ads and lets you drop more files at once.
